Format of Papers

1. Introduction

Please use A4 format that measures 210mm × 297mm for your paper. Please set the “spacing" in the "Paragraph" option to "single-spaced” and indent the first line of each paragraph by 4 characters for the entire paper. Leave one blank line both above and below for heading 1 and leave only one blank line above for heading 2. All graphics, tables and formulas have to be attached in your paper. Please do not link to external files.

2. Method

2.1 Format

In "Margins" of "Page Setup": use the "Top" page margin to 25mm, the "bottom" margin to 31mm and both the "left and right" margins to 20mm; use “Header” in “From edge” to 13mm and “Footer" to 20mm in “From edge”. SELECT “No grid" in “Document Grid". Use the two-column format for the text. In "Columns” of “Format”, set “Number of columns" to 2, set “Spacing” in “Width and Spacing” to 2 characters and width to "21.95” characters, and then SELECT “Equal column width".

2.2 Basic Requirements

1. Contents of the paper must be creative and the text must be concise, coherent and well-organized;

2. Manuscripts generally contain no more than 5000 words and should be accompanied by Chinese abstract, key words and the author's accurate and detailed contact information (phone number, fax number, e-mail, correspondence address, etc.);

3. All charts must be clearly delineated, provide true and accurate DATA and use standard quantities and symbols. Combination of graphics and text is required;

4. References must be annotated in the text according to the specifications;

5. The following system has to be used for numbering in manuscript:  1,2,3 ... ...; 1.1,1.2,1.3 ... ...; 1.1.1,1.1.2,1.1.3 ... ...; a, b, c ... ...;

6. Electronic versions (in Word format) of all papers should be provided;

7. Organization name, educational qualifications, position, title and contact details of the first author of abstract (limited to 300 words) should be provided. Authors are asked to avoid submitting manuscripts to multiple organizations, ensure that the paper submitted is published for the first time and be responsible for the copyright of their manuscripts.

2.3 Abbreviations and Acronyms

Even when an abbreviation or acronym has been defined in the abstract, it has to be defined when it appears in the text for the first time; abbreviations and acronyms such as IEEE, SI, MKS, CGS, ac, dc and rms do not need to be defined. No space needs to be added between full stops and letters in abbreviations and acronyms made of several initial letters and containing full stops, for example, “C.N.R.S.” should not be written as “C. N. R. S.”. Avoid abbreviations and acronyms in titles as much as possible.

3. Way of Submission

Manuscripts have to be sent to paper@solarpromotion.org as attachments, the words “conference paper submission” must be indicated in the header and other means of contact other than e-mail have to be provided. The deadline for paper submission is September 1, 2010.
